David Vincent Hayes
(b. 1931)
David Hayes was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1931. He received an A.B. degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1953 and a MFA from Indiana University in 1955. Hayes has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including a post-doctoral Fulbright award, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a grant from the National Institute of Arts and Letters. He has had over 100 solo shows, and his work is in the collections of over 60 museums. He currently lives and works in Coventry, Connecticut.
