Sharon Sprung  

(b. 1953)

Sharon Sprung was born in 1953. She attended the Art Students League, and the National Academy of Design in New York City; as well as Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She has had numerous solo exhibitions including "Drawn to the Surface" in 2002, and "Animal, Vegetable, and Mineral" in 1999 at the Gallery Henoch in New York City in 2002. She has also been a part of numerous group exhibitions including the 2004 "Group Show" at the Gallery Henoch in New York City, and the 2002 "Art of the 20th Century" at Park Avenue Armory in New York City. Her works are in the public collections of Bell Laboratories in Oradell, New Jersey; Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey; and Sherman and Sterling in New York City. She was an instructor of painting and drawing at The National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts in 1993. She was awarded and recognized by The Artist Magazine in 2002, and The American Society of Portrait Artists in 2001.
