Allen Stone  

(b. 1910)

Allen Stone was a painter born in New York City in 1910. He studied at The National Academy of Design with Sidney Dickinson, Leon Kroll, Raymond Neilson, and Ivan Olinsky, and Art Students League with Maxwell Starr. He was a member of the Art Students League, the American Veterans Society of Art, and the Royal Society of Art. His works have been exhibited at Laguna Beach Art Club, Society of Independent Artist, Minnesota State Fair, Allied Artists Academy New York, and Grand Central Art Gallery. He was an instructor at Caton Rose Institute, and compiled a book in 1951 on art techniques of famous present day illustrators.
