Arthur Secunda  

(b. 1927)

Arthur Secunda was born in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1927. He was a painter, sculptor, illustrator, printmaker, and photographer who lived in New York and California. He was taught by André Lhote, and studied and taught at Académie Julian, Academy de la Grand Chaumiére, the Art Students League of New York, and Otis Art Institute. He was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, and was also active in Mexico and Central America.
