Scott Greene  

(b. 1958)

Scott Greene was born in 1958. He was raised in Denver, Colorado and studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. He received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from the University of New Mexico. His work has been included in exhibitions throughout the United States, including non-profit and museum shows at the Roswell Museum and Art Center, NM; Albuquerque Museum of Art, Albuquerque, NM; Kohlar Art Center, Sheboygan, Wisconsin; University of Virginia Art Museum, Virginia; Schneider Art Museum, Southern Oregon State University, Ashland, OR; Palo Alto Art Center, CA; Arnot Museum of Art, Elmira, NY; Austin Museum of Art, Austin, TX; Carlsbad Museum & Art Center, Carlsbad, NM; and the Triton Museum, Santa Clara, CA. He was a recipient of the Roswell Artist in Residency Grant, Roswell, NM, an Art Matters Fellowship, and received a Juror Selection Award, Lubbock Fine Arts Center, TX, from Dave Hickey. His work has also been featured in Harpers magazine, McSweeney’s, Coagula, Artweek, San Francisco Chronicle, and ZYZZAVA.
