Dorr Bothwell
(1902-2000)
Dorr Bothwell was born in San Francisco, CA in 1902. She was a painter, printmaker, and illustrator well-known for her abstraction and surrealist works. She studied and taught at the California School of Fine Art, and Parsons School of Design. She was a member of the San Francisco Art Association, and her works have been exhibited at The Corcoran Gallery Biennial, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, San Francisco Art Association, and The Whitney Museum. She died in 2000.
