Samuel Tepler
(1918-1998)
Samuel Tepler was born in 1918 in Poland and immigrated to the U.S. in 1949. He studied at the High School of Art in Vilna; the Brera Academie in Milan, with Carol Carrera. He won the Histadrut Prize in 1961; the Gold Medal UNESCO in 1974; and the 1975 Italy Prize. In 1975 he was accepted as a member of the Italian Acadamy. He lived his later years in Tel Aviv where he died in 1998.
