John Henry Toney
(b. 1928)
Born 1928 in rural Russell County Alabama. He began painting in 1994 when he plowed up a turnip with a face on it. His work has been exhibited at the Wiregrass Museum of Art in Dothan, Alabama and at the LaGrange Museum in Georgia. He signs most of his paintings with his full name, age, address and sometimes his phone number.
