Susan Nees
(b. 1961)
Susan Nees was born and raised on a family farm in Carroll County, Iowa. She studied at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design and the Philadelphia College of Art, where she received her BFA. In 1993 she was awarded an Independent Artist Grant from the Georgia Council for the Arts. Her work is in the collections of the Low Library of Columbia University and the Minneapolis Institute of Art, as well as numerous private collections internationally.
