Omer Thomas Lassonde
(1903-1980)
Omer Lassonde was born in Concord, New Hampshire in 1903. He was a painter who was well-known for his abstraction and cubism. He was taught by Hugh Breckenridge, and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy. His modern representative works often included depictions of life in tropical locations like Hawaii and the South Seas. He was a member of the Carmel Art Association, Ogunquit Art Association, and Silvermine Guild Art Colony. His works were exhibited at the Carmel Art Association, the National Academy of Design, Ogunquit Art Association, Paris Salon, the Pennsylvania Academy, and Silvermine Artists Guild. He lived in New Hampshire and died in 1980.
