Sue Fuller

(1914-2006)

Sue Fuller was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1914. She was a painter well-known for string composition, etching, and collage. She studied and taught at the Art Students League in New York, Atelier 17, the Carnegie Institute, Columbia University, and Pratt Institute. She was a member of the Society of American Etchers. Her works were exhibited at the Carnegie Institute, the Corcoran Gallery Biennial, the Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Academy of Design, the National Institute of Arts and Letters, the Pennsylvania Academy, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She died in South Hampton, New York in 2006.
