Eugene Paul Ullman
(1877-1953)
Eugene Ullman was born in New York City in 1877, but lived and worked in both America and Europe. He studied at the Académie Julian, the Chase School of Art, the National Academy of Design, Parsons School of Design, and Shinnecock Summer School. He also studied under James Whistler and William Merritt Chase. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, and the Society of Independent Artists. His works have been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Boston Art Club, Carnegie Institute, Corcoran Gallery Biennial, the National Academy of Design, the Panama Pacific Exhibition of 1915, the Pennsylvania Academy, the Society of Independent Artists, the St. Louis Exposition at World’s Fair in 1904, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He died in Paris, France in 1953.
