Ida Kohlmeyer

Ida Rittenberg Kohlmeyer was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1912. She was a painter and sculptor well-known for her abstract works. She studied under Hans Hofmann in Provincetown. Her works have been exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery Biennial, Knoedler Gallery in New York, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. She died in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1997.
