Harold Marrat Lund (b. 1904)

Harold Lund was born in New York City in 1904. He was a painter well-known for his landscapes, city views, and marine paintings. He was taught by Charles Hawthorne, and studied at the Art Students League of New York before establishing a studio in Brooklyn. He also painted in Provincetown, MA and taught at the Vesper George School in Boston.  He was a member of the Salmagundi Club and Salons of America. His works have been exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Academy of Design, and the Pennsylvania Academy.  He is listed in Falk, Peter, "Who Was Who in American Art 1564-1975".
